Christopher L. Caterine is originally from outside of Boston, but has slowly crept south over the years. After graduating from Boston College High School in Dorchester, MA, he attended Georgetown University, receiving his AB in 2007. For the next seven years he studied the Greek and Roman Classics at the University of Virginia, where he was awarded an MA in 2009 and a Ph.D. in 2014. He then worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University for three years, and in 2015 began a three-year stint heading the Society for Classical Studies’ Committee on Contingent Faculty (formerly the Advisory Group on Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Issues). He currently serves as a Pursuit Manager at Deloitte, where he develops strategic messaging and writes proposals for high value consulting contracts.
