Christopher L. Caterine is originally from outside of Boston, but has slowly crept south over the years. After graduating from Boston College High School in Dorchester, MA, he attended Georgetown University and received his AB in 2007. For the next seven years he studied the Greek and Roman Classics at the University of Virginia, where he was awarded an MA in 2009 and a Ph.D. in 2014. Since that time he has worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University and from 2015 has served as chair of the Society for Classical Studies’ Committee on Contingent Faculty (formerly the Advisory Group on Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Issues). He is currently seeking a more collaborative work environment where he can leverage his skills in research and policy formation to help institutions resolve systemic problems that prevent individuals and communities from reaching their full potential.
